This report provides a comprehensive analysis of 15+ platforms offering gratis access to LLMs, evaluates their technical capabilities and limitations, and presents actionable insights for developers and researchers. Key findings reveal that while free tiers enable rapid prototyping, strategic selection requires balancing factors like rate limits (200–500 requests/day), context windows (4k to 2M tokens), and model specialization – with emerging solutions like retrieval-augmented generation helping mitigate accuracy concerns.
